TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE OF THE SERVICE

Sport 1 AS, Dyrskuevegen 20, 2140 Kløfta, Norway, organisation number 823 823 823 VAT, operates a rental service where businesses and consumers can rent equipment for shared use by booking online and collecting and returning the equipment at a local store or kiosk, or via home delivery.
The service also includes membership options, providing benefits for customers who rent equipment more frequently.

1. General

These terms and conditions apply to the rental and sale of goods and services from utleie.sport1.no to businesses and consumers. Together with your order, these terms constitute the complete contractual basis for the purchase.
Some Sport1 stores may also apply store-specific terms and conditions.

2. Definition of Parties

The lessor or seller is: Sport 1 AS, hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, “the lessor” or “Sport 1 AS”.
The renter is: The person stated as the renter or buyer in the order, hereinafter referred to as “the renter”, “the customer”, “you”, “your” or “yours”.
Rental items refer to tools, equipment, machines and other items rented out via Sport 1 AS’ websites.
Delivery methods / service points refer to collection or return at a store, kiosk, or by home delivery.

3. Payment, Deposit and Prices

Payment is made at the Sport1 store from which the equipment or service is rented. Sport 1 AS follows standard rental practice and may, in some cases, reserve a deposit amount as stated on the order receipt. This reservation is made at the Sport1 store.
The deposit secures Sport 1 AS in case the equipment is returned late, damaged, or not returned at all. The size of the deposit depends on the selected rental item and is stated in your order confirmation. Sport 1 AS is entitled to use the deposit to cover rental fees and other related costs and/or any claims for compensation, cf. section 5 below.

All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated. The total cost will be displayed before ordering and will include all costs related to the rental or purchase.
If significant pricing errors occur on the website due to Sport 1 AS, Sport 1 AS reserves the right to amend, cancel or reject an order even after the customer has received an order confirmation. Any such errors will be corrected and communicated to the customer within a reasonable time after being discovered.

4. Condition of the Rental Item

Sport 1 AS undertakes to deliver rental items of high quality and in working condition. Sport 1 AS has routines for inspecting and maintaining rental items before and after each rental.
During the rental period, you are responsible for all damage or loss to the equipment. Liability may be waived if the damage or loss is due to technical defects or faults. The renter must therefore inspect the rental item before use and contact Sport 1 AS if the item is not in the expected condition.

5. Damage

All damage, technical faults or incidents occurring during the rental period must be reported to Sport 1 AS immediately. We will do our best to assist the renter.
If damage is caused by incorrect use, intent or negligence, Sport 1 AS may use the reserved deposit and, if necessary, charge additional outstanding amounts to cover costs related to repair, service or replacement of the equipment.

6. Use of the Rental Item

Use of rental items is at your own risk. The user of the equipment must be at least 18 years old.
We recommend the use of protective equipment. You must also follow the user instructions and any other guidelines provided by Sport 1 AS.

7. Accessories

Accessories must generally be purchased or rented separately. For accessories that are sold and not used, section 12 (Right of Withdrawal) applies.

8. Renter’s Rights and Obligations

The renter must be at least 18 years old and must provide correct customer information. Sport 1 AS sends notifications to the registered email address, postal address and phone number.
The user account is personal. Sport 1 AS reserves the right to reject, terminate or suspend a user account without prior notice.
The renter or cardholder authorises Sport 1 AS to charge the payment card in the event of non-return or improper return of the rental item.

9. Changes to Orders

To change an order, Sport 1 AS must be contacted. Changes are not valid until confirmed in writing by us.

10. Collection and Return

Collection and return take place in accordance with the order confirmation. You are responsible for the product until it has been returned to us or to our service points.

11. Membership

Membership entitles you to discounted prices and other benefits. Membership is automatically renewed until it is cancelled.

12. Right of Withdrawal for Purchases

The right of withdrawal applies to purchases, not to rental items, in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.

13. Intellectual Property Rights

The content and the service are protected by copyright law. Videos on YouTube are links to third-party services outside the control of Sport 1 AS.

14. Privacy

Sport 1 AS processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. The renter may request deletion of personal data by contacting Sport 1 AS.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. The agreed legal venue is Oslo District Court.

16. Amendments

Sport 1 AS reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. The current terms are always available on the website.
